Vision

Rontal lies on the north-eastern approach to Lucerne. It is a valley in the process of fundamental structural change. Rontal has its future mapped out: the entire region is gradually developing into a major, ultra-modern centre of service and technology-based industries. Today’s overall concept for Rontal points to a sustainable long-term vision of creating an urban space that demonstrates what growth with high value appeal is really about. That includes more than quantitative factors – more residents, more jobs, ever-higher economic output – it also takes account of qualitative development. This is to be achieved by mobilising new potential, as well as promoting innovation and projects that connect with the future. Such ideals are embodied in the valley’s recently assumed new identity: Future Valley Lucerne. Future Valley Lucerne is a venture spearheaded by the Chance Rontal Association. It stands for a new style of location promotion, one that emphasises sensitive debate on matters concerning the future.
