Future Valley seeks to facilitate a visionary exchange of ideas about tomorrow by bringing together figures of international standing from the fields of business, science, art and culture. Once a year, these reformers of our times convene for a “FutureMind” debate on upcoming prospects. Proceeding from dominant megatrends like climate change, globalisation and its impact, rising opportunism, the power and powerlessness of the information society, they extrapolate postulations addressed to a global public and intended to enhance awareness of what will next be shaping our world. The interdisciplinary topics broached by FutureMind and its constituent members are designed to hit home not only with economists, politicians and the media, but anyone with an alert and sensitive interest in the future. Individuals with the desire to get something moving. People who therein see benefits for their own lives, and for society at large. Who, despite the search for new patterns of interpretation, eschew rigid ideology in favour of a flexible model for living that is rich in ideas.
The lecture cycle takes place at the D4 Business Centre. For a detailed programme, please click here.
